The North London Reading Group is holding a belated literary Christmas Party on Sat 28 January — to help banish the January blues. And as it'll be (almost) Australia Day, how better to cheer up than to head Down Under?
It'll be a ripper Antipodean-themed night with plenty of literary liveliness. We'll also be making sure there is plenty of time to meet new like-minded friends for 2012 and swap books — and putting on plenty of pub nibbles and cake!
T.D. Griggs will be reading an Australian short story and some 'Aussie Doggerel' for us — and giving a sneak preview of upcoming novel Distant Thunder |

*Warning: may contain Kylie & Jason as well as Thomas Keneally
We'll be 'aussifying' The Queen's Head in King's Cross — one of our favourite pubs with lovingly selected wines, whiskies and amber nectars.

See you there from 7PM (and for those brave enough to join us in donning beachwear, there will be prizes...)
