Nothing comes close to our love of books. Well, apart from perhaps a good gin and tonic. So join our literary gin tour on Saturday 24 October to celebrate that most bookish of all drinks.
We’ll be taking a privately guided tour around London’s oldest distillery - the Beefeater Distillery in South London. You’ll be treated to a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the distillery itself, learn about the journey from the 18th century 'mother's ruin' gin craze to London’s spirit of choice - and of course take part in some fabulous gin tasting.
The tour lasts about two and a half hours. Afterwards we’ll be retiring to a nearby gin palace to socialise and grab some food while discussing the drink and a book that celebrates it - Brideshead Revisited. And as happens in Brideshead, the six o’clock bell is sure to herald the arrival of gin cocktails!
